Hello! My name is TJ Wolfe and I am a PhD student and technology coach at NC State University, one of the leading land-grant institutions in the country. I am located in the College of Education’s Curriculum, Instruction and Counselor Education department, as part of the Instructional Technology degree program.
My focus is on “Technology Coaching.” My philosophy is that is if you’re going to use technology well, you should be thoughtful and purposeful about it.
My research topics include Virtual Worlds, 1:1 Computing, Web 2.0 Integration and Digital Productivity. I also pursue topics that deal with Digital Systems (also, Digital Methods, such as Google Apps).
My goal is to prove Pablo Picasso right, that computers are useless and can only give us the answers we ask it to provide. It’s people and ideas that matter. Technology is a tool we use to find, share, collect, store and process data. We can replace technology, we can’t replace people. :)
